DirectTune

This Wiki provides support for DirectTune, an streaming Extension for Songbird. It makes it possible to recive any streams Songbird can handle.

So you can for example recive non-SHOUTcast WebRadio directly in Songbird, in contrast to BirdTune DirectTune gives you the opportunity to combine different sources, so you can install as many List-AddOns as you like, which provide Streams. Or you insert your own streams into DirectTune.

DirectTune is also based on XUL and has no own server. So it can change the user interface, and fix UI glitches appearing on simple stream-playback.

Get involved

Everybody can create own List-AddOns, and add support for streams.
