On your personal website...                                                                                   Or from iGoogle...

  1. Install the GET control extension by gfxmonk.
  2. Open about:config in the location bar and set "extensions.GET-control.localonly" to false and restart Songbird.
  3. Get the Songbird Remote iGoogle Gadget and verify your Network name in the settings!

If you have your own web space...

  1. Download songbird-control.zip and extract it.
  2. Open index.html and replace all the boosh entries with your own computer's network name. (i.e. http://boosh:50136/ctl/play to http://NAME-PC:50136/ctl/play)
  3. Upload songbird-control to your own personal webpage and you are ready to control Songbird from any computer or device on your network ;-)

Additional Information:

-You can view the localhost demo here (only works on the computer you have Songbird on, not over the network).

-Check out gfxmonk's official github project here where you can download his version of the web-control.

-If you prefer an AJAX(local only) or PHP implementation, you can get 'em here (created by jhlassen17)

-If it isn't working, you might have to adjust your firewall settings, try a different port, or restart Songbird.
