Video Playback

• QuickTime files with zlib compressed headers will not play back on Windows. ( bug 14170)
• Playback may fail when repeatedly pausing and then resuming playback of a video. ( bug 14911)
• The add-on that will enable playback of MPEG-4 Part 2 ASP videos is not yet publicly available. ( bug 18060)
• Video import from iTunes is not available. ( bug 18120)
• The video controls overlay does not properly fade in and out. ( bug 18152)
• The context menu items displayed while playing video in full screen mode are incorrect. ( bug 18853)
• If the user quits Songbird while playing a video, playback may resume from the beginning instead of from the point at which the application was quit. ( bug 18854)
• If the user starts playback of a video, then switches to another video while the first video is playing back, Songbird may not resume playback of the first video at its stopping point. ( bug 18910)
• The video on-screen display (OSD) controls may disappear while the user is actively using the scrubber in the controls. ( bug 18855)
• The OSD controls may flicker during playback. ( bug 18867)
• The video window does not have a minimum size, and the user can shrink it down to a size that is too small to display the OSD controls. ( bug 18869)
• Users may encounter various problems while using the video scrubber. ( bug 18911)
• Double-clicking a music track while playing back a video does not stop the video and start playback of the selected audio track. ( bug 18913)
• The OSD controls do not hide while the video window is being moved. ( bug 18914)
• The video window may open on the wrong monitor on systems with multiple displays attached. ( bug 18916)
• Seeking/scrubbing in WMV files may halt video playback. ( bug 18884)
• .ogv files are not imported during file import operations. ( bug 18885)

Device Sync

• The UI may not update to reflect syncs of videos to devices. ( bug 18952)

All Platforms

• Dialogs text cropped when OS is using big fonts ( bug 5583)
• Window min/max sizing does not respect DPI ( bug 6956)
• [iPod] Album Artwork switched to wrong music ( bug 7780)
• [ipod] 1st Gen iPod shuffle not mounting in Songbird ( bug 10432)
  • Workaround:
    • Go to iPod directory
    • Find "ipod_control" folder and delete it
    • Re-connect the ipod and Songbird will recognize it.
• Paused tracks intermittently increase playcount ( bug 13615)
• iTunes smart playlists aren't imported ( bug 16473)
• [mashtape] After minimizing Songbird with mashtape video tab in focus, track changes cause Songbird to become maximized ( bug 18379)
• Number of channels in music files are not listed for some of the file ( bug 18451)

Windows Specific

• Cannot playback media items on MTP device from within Songbird app ( bug 8068)
• Some songs display as 0:00 ( bug 9145)
• Same files can be added twice to a device if 2 PCs are used ( bug 9803)
• Songbird Changes USB Hard Drive Label (18367)
• Songbird will not recognize USB CD drives plugged in while the application is running. Quit and restart Songbird to mount your CD drive inside the application. ( bug 18033)

• Users must click within the CD Rip media view to activate the CD Rip-specific keyboard shortcuts. ( bug 18267)
• CDs will occasionally not eject automatically after a successful rip when the auto-eject option is enabled. ( bug 18291)
• Album artwork for some compilation CDs will not be fetched during the CD Rip process.  Users can manually fetch artwork for the album once the ripped tracks are in the Songbird library. ( bug 18328)
• The CD Rip node will be displayed for data-only CDs.  ( bug 18349)
• Users must select a track within the CD Rip media view to see the artwork associated with the album. ( bug 18331)
• Attempting to manually eject CD while rip is in progress cancels current track rip and moves to next track. ( bug 18418)

• Unknown file types are transferred to devices as-is. ( bug 18204)
• Songbird changes case of user files on device as compared to media library ( bug 18363)
• [msc] Disk space usage limitations not working as designed ( bug 18516)

• The transcoding preferences UI for CD Rip allows users to select unavailable output bitrates for WMA files. The files will be written with the closest available bitrate to the one chosen by the user. ( bug 18242)
• A DRM reference implementation file from Microsoft will not play back. ( bug 18368)
