Crashes of the Songbird application usually generate Crash Reports. If you choose to send them, we'll receive them. However, we may also ask you to send us a link/ID number for the crash so that we can link it to your specific problem. Here are two ways of doing that.
Songbird stores submitted crash reports against a specific profile, which can be accessed by typing about:crashes into the address bar of a new tab. There will be a line for each crash report you have reported to us which will include a link consisting of the crash number, and the date and time of the submission. The best way to share that info with us is to right-click on the link, select "Copy link location" and paste it in to your bug report's description.
Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\<your-username>\Application Data\Songbird2\Crash Reports. "Application Data" is a hidden folder; if you can't see the folder, the easiest way to get there is to type the location into an Explorer window.
Navigate to C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Roaming\Songbird2\Crash Reports. "Roaming" is a hidden folder; if you can't see the folder, the easiest way to get there is to type the location into an Explorer window.
Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Songbird2/Crash Reports.
The individual Crash Reports live in a directory named "submitted". The value we're interested in is the name of the file(s) within that directory. They're long and ugly and don't make much sense. If you'd like to see the report that we're seeing, open one of those files in Notepad/TextEdit and visit the URL on the second line!
